I have to say Cathy is the best I’ve ever worked with in this industry.
I used to have an agency myself, I’ve sold houses myself and I have not come across anyone as good as Cathy. That’s a genuine comment. I’ve sold houses so I know how it works. It was genuinely a pleasure doing the transaction.
Cathys’ professionalism, pragmatic and performance driven approach is something to treasure. The key to her success is really her supreme people management skills and her ability to relate, understand and deal with each person in the way he or she loves.
I bought the place off her 10 or 11 years ago and she’s always kept in touch. The main reason was that I really like the way she works. I like her style, she’s not a pushy agent, she’s just a regular person which suits my character – I’m not a very public person. We worked really together well, for
me it’s all about being able to work well together and on top of that she has the skills.
The level of communication was exceptional. There was never a time when I had to chase her which is a rare skill these days. She’s incredibly proactive and was always in touch with me. Without fail, after every viewing, she’d be in touch to tell me what happened and what the offers were. That level of communication was just amazing. It was definitely something I enjoyed.
I’d set the bar high and she went over it which was fantastic. In terms of the auctioneer, the people in the office, the whole Ray White team – they’re a smart
bunch of operators. They’re not fake, they’re genuinely interested in the client’s needs.
She knew how to get a great result in a short space of time
Being down a driveway and selling amidst what the media is quick to describe as a property slump left the former owners of this property in Remuera doubting if they would get as much as they thought they would for their home.
This is their story of how Cathy Roselli was able to leave the couple ‘over the moon’…
We had dealt with Cathy when we she sold the house to us. We had a great experience with her back then and had a really good rapport. She knew the house and had sold it previously. Cathy knows Remuera and the surrounding areas incredibly well so we knew we were in safe hands.
The level of service she provided was beyond anything we’ve ever experienced before. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge of the market was at another level. We got a better result than we could have hoped for so we were over the moon. There is absolutely nothing that we could fault. Cathy was absolutely fantastic.
Everything about Cathy’s manner puts you at ease. She’s very sure of herself and is incredibly calming, it’s all very reassuring. She knows what’s she’s doing and knows how to get results.
She was in constant contact with us throughout the process and was a very calming force. And she does it all in a very genuine and sincere way.
Oh her personality. She is an exceptional woman and she was a joy to deal with. Across the board, her service, her professionalism, it was all top class.
We have worked with other agents in Auckland before but Cathy was far superior, personally, professionally – on every level she was head and shoulders above the rest. We would definitely use her again or recommend her to a friend.
Just Cathy being Cathy we knew she had our best interests at heart. It was really nice to be able to trust someone during what can be a stressful time. She had sold the property before so we had complete faith in her and that faith was rewarded.

Navigate the unknown with the ‘captain of the ship’
I first met Cathy when I bought this home two and a half years ago. As a buyer she was incredibly helpful, very supportive and had great insight into the market – which when you come from abroad is incredibly important. Cathy came across as very knowledgeable and experienced so when the time came to sell, I knew she was the person to represent us.
Throughout the sales process she was incredibly helpful – she dealt with all sorts of things, helping me to find gardeners, painters, homestagers. Nothing was ever an
issue for her. My husband travels a lot and with Cathy by my side I felt incredibly supported every step of the way. She was always at my side, guiding and directing me, providing me with the knowledge I needed which I’m very grateful for.
Cathy helped me to understand everything I needed to know about the intricacies of the Auckland market which is very different to what I was used to in Europe.
An Auction is quite an intense process so it’s really important to have someone knowledgeable at your side guiding you along the way. Cathy helps you to navigate the unknown. She was the captain of the ship. She’s incredibly resourceful and had a solution for everything.
It’s really important as a vendor to know you’re going to get the best possible care. But at the same time you know with Cathy that she takes good care of the buyers too. I’ve been on both sides of the equation with Cathy and I know there’s something in it for both sides.
Cathy had our complete trust and she delivered. Cathy is very present and you never feel lost. You constantly feel informed. I knew I could call her any time and she would give me the answer I
needed. She’s also very approachable and very helpful. Cathy has passion – she’s passionate about what she does.

Cathy sold two properties for us.
I’ve known Cathy for a long time. She actually sold a home for me in Wellington in 1992, she’s a great provider of long term relationships. We chose Cathy, because she’s very personable, very much understands and gets where we’re coming from. She’s not about the transaction, she’s about the relationship. She understands that this is a major transaction in someone’s life. Her knowledge of the market and life experience really shone through.
Cathy was outstanding. One of the things I like about Cathy is her attention to detail. She also has great relationships with gardeners and landscapers, repairs and maintenance – she’s like the conductor of an orchestra. She waves a baton and they all go to work in unison. She had it all
covered, she leaves no stone unturned. Her attention to detail and level of service is second to none.
Cathy has an innate understanding of psychology. She understands people and the pressure they’re under, and their hot buttons, and she manages it all in a very genuine way. She’s a very genuine person. She’s such a good sales person, and it’s all about the relationships for her. She has a genuine and authentic interest in people and getting the best result for her vendor, but at the same time she’s great at looking after purchasers too.
Cathy is amazing at what she does. The best thing about having Cathy on-board was just having Cathy. She’s a personality, a real force of nature. She’s such a hardworking, dedicated professional – you just have so much confidence in her ability. On a scale of one to ten, I’d give Cathy an eleven.
They don’t get better than Cathy
When it comes to marketing, Cathy really hits the mark.
She is a strong believer in more advertising driving more enquiries and for us it was worth every penny. Cathy ensured that our home stood out and was in front of other homes on the market. Selling your home by auction is a really stressful and intense time, but Cathy took as much stress as you possibly can out of selling our home – and she made it personal in a good way. She talked us through everything.
Cathy has an invaluable understanding of buyer feedback and their level of interest, and we love the knowledge shared – and given. We were kept up to date constantly, which was fantastic. Cathy is a real people person and she has a true love of people and houses. She is always bubbly, and
positive.
Cathy really goes above and beyond anybody else I’ve ever sold or bought a home through, and we have worked with a whole bunch of agents.
Nobody helps you like Cathy does; she’s not out for herself, she’s out to help you – and we found that very cool, we were very lucky.

Having a really good handle on our area- Remuera
Cathy was great to work with. She was really easy to contact and really relatable for us. I’d often see her on the street in the neighbourhood so she is part of our world anyway.
She was engaged in the process and was always thinking about us. She went above and beyond, which was really impressive.
Cathy handled the whole process really well – and she approached every stage without panic. She was unflappable, very calm, and explained everything to us.
The best thing about having Cathy on board was the combination of her confidence, knowledge and experience.
My only job was to get the house organised, but otherwise, it was all taken care of – I really had nothing major to do, which was fantastic.
We were hugely impressed – I mean, we had 123 groups come through the house in those three weeks so we were pretty astounded.
I don’t think the home could have marketed any more effectively: we had the works and Cathy really put her all into it.
Cathy was really easy to talk to and any concerns we did have, we knew we could just pick up the phone for a chat – it was just really that simple and we were all on the same page the whole way through, working towards the same end goal.
Making a stressful process into an enjoyable experience
Selling your house during Covid level 3 should be incredibly stressful however Cathy delivered on an outstanding result and an enjoyable experience.
Two weeks into lockdown, my husband suggested we bring retirement plans forward and move out of Auckland. Over the years we had real estate agents door-knocking with potential buyers, but we
found them tenacious in their dealings with us.
We wanted someone we trusted to sell our house, who would look after our interests and do the right thing. I’ve known Cathy
for about 20 years and her personality and professional reputation made it an easy decision to engage her to sell our house.
As we were in level 3 restrictions, all open homes were by appointment to comply with Covid regulations, Cathy organised these appointments on specific days and throughout the process provided incredible service.
She kept us very informed and any decisions were discussed and our questions were easily answered. She really held our hands and took us along the journey in the most stress-free way possible.
On auction day, the communication with the auctioneer was excellent, and Cathy matched the different buyers with her team members to ensure they had all potential buyers covered. It felt like she rallied the whole team behind us and everyone wanted us to succeed.
The work that Cathy did for us including her service, knowledge, advice, experience, positivity, professionalism and manner delivered a result that exceeded our expectations. We would have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending to her to anyone who wants fantastic service and a
great outcome.
It is her personal and thoughtful approach that she brings to her clients that makes her stand out.
Perception and Ability
We weren’t planning on selling, as we thought this would be our home for a while. We had done it up so nicely, and to a standard that we really wanted to live in. However, as things tend to happen in life, a friend of ours was selling her lovely home – so if you could get access to it, you’d have to buy it.
We met with two agents and picked Cathy. She was great: a better agent, better organised, and an exceptional communicator and that’s why I chose her.
The other agent with whom we met was from another agency, and he’s famous around our area, with a huge profile. However, he was not well prepared at all. In fact, I had more market information than he had!
Cathy on the other hand, was so personable and easy to work with, and not at all patronising. She was recommended by friends of ours that had also sold in Parnell with Cathy.
Cathy is an excellent communicator, and extremely hard-working, which is hugely important.
Cathy assesses people well and reads moods well – she’s very bright like that. I was impressed by her perception and ability.
Overall, we had a very positive experience with Cathy. With so many people selling in the Auckland market, some parts of the real estate industry are getting really bad out there: I’ve been so glad to have a positive experience, and such a great result.
Cathy’s auctioneer, Wayne Maguire, was outstanding. We were very pleased and the whole approach was very good. We got more for our home than we expected or had asked for, which was wonderful!
Even now, after the sale, Cathy’s been there for us. She’s kept us informed and acts as a great facilitator. She’s very good at what she does, and I really hope she gets more work in our area because she goes the extra mile for her clients.

of her way to work around you.
We spoke to agents from Barfoot and
Thompson, Bayleys, and Harcourts. They were all very nice and affable but we choose Cathy. She presented with style.
Cathy is always positive and she couldn’t be more professional. She is very pragmatic and has a lot of experience in getting the best result.
Cathy has a very relaxed style and makes people feel comfortable. She is welcoming and warm and has a knack of communicating with people which makes a huge difference.
She can relate to people and uses language appropriately to make them feel at ease – we found her to be really aware and insightful .
With Cathy, there is never any talk of settling, as in ‘let’s just settle for this’. She is a perfectionist without being painful and she wants the best that can be possibly done. She always goes the extra mile – whether that’s another visit, another opportunity, or more photos.
To sum it up, the best thing about having Cathy on board is her professionalism, personality and the way she communicate She’s a very honest and genuine person with huge integrity. It’s great to have Cathy on your team when you are selling your home.
100% of her Attention
I decided that with the market being the way it was and the fact that I didn’t have the money to develop the property that it was the right time to sell. I decided it was best to get it on the market and get the best money I could, and that’s where Cathy came in.
I think Cathy did an amazing job. She is thorough, always contactable, and has clear communication.
At no time did I not think I was getting 100% of her attention, which was fantastic.
You have to an agent who is 100% focused on getting the best result for you as the vendor, and that’s exactly what Cathy did for me.
Lots of people get into real estate on a whim, thinking it will be easy and it’s simply not true. Cathy has been around, she’s got over 30+ years of experience under her belt, so she is very well established in the Remuera market. In the Auckland market, those connections and a solid database are everything when it comes to getting a good sale result.
The best thing about having Cathy on board was her honesty, integrity, and the fact that she was 100% there for me. She genuinely wanted to get the best possible result for me, and as the vendor that is what’s most important.
Even now, once the sale has gone through, Cathy and I still communicate, so having constant communication with Cathy is great.
We felt like she cared…
Our home wasn’t going to be the home for us forever so we decided to move. We had researched doing a major renovation but we didn’t have the energy to undertake the project so started looking for our new home.
It took a full five years to find the right place and we had known Cathy for the whole five years we’d been looking for the new home so she was on the short list when we decided to sell, however, we both felt Cathy had such great energy, which is a major plus when you are trying to sell a home. We also wanted her insight and expertise.
Cathy was fabulous, she gave us sound advice all the way.
It was Cathy’s hard work that got us to the price we wanted. We were so proud of her and so happy that she went the extra mile– I really don’t think anyone else could have done it.
We were also impressed with the way Cathy interacted with us. Her process was very inclusive. We always felt like she had time for us and that we were front of mind. If we phoned Cathy up, with any concerns or question, she was always on the other end and had time to assure us. We felt like she
cared, which made all the difference.
